Covid-19 restrictions are having an impact on our operations at RSPCA Cornwall Branch and the Venton Centre.
Please see below for updates and information on the current situation.
This page will be reviewed and updated as soon as possible as restrictions change.
Due to the latest Lockdown restrictions and the need to ensure that we are able to maintain sufficient staff at the Animal Centre to care for our animals, the following is now in place at the centre:
The site at St Columb is now fully closed to all visitors. Please do not come onto site with donations at this time.
Couriers and postal services, please call us or leave a card.
We are in the process of contacting all our current volunteers to ask you to remain away from the site until you are asked to return to your role.
For enquiries concerning animals at the Centre or recently adopted, our ‘phones will be staffed between 1.00pm and 3.00pm daily – at other times please email (see links on the website), but allow 24 hours for a response.
For animal cruelty and neglect complaints, injured unowned animals and strays and welfare complaints, please contact the National RSPCA (who assign work to the Inspectors) on 0300 1234999 or visit www.rspca.org.uk for more information.
If you are interested in adopting either a specific animal or a general enquiry, please complete an online form – See the “How to Adopt” page, and our staff will respond to you as soon as possible.
As the Covid-19 situation changes rapidly, we will be temporarily suspending arrangements for starting new adoptions, but will work through adoptions that are already in progress on a case by case basis.
If you have submitted an online form, please bear with us and we will call you when we are in a position to adopt. Please do not call us to follow up forms that you have submitted.
If you currently have an animal you can no longer care for, please submit details using the online form on our website HERE.
Details will be added to our waiting list. We will contact you when we are in a position to take the animal into our care. This depends on several factors including animals already waiting to come into the Centre, as well as prioritising admissions from our Inspectorate team. We are currently unable to deal with these enquiries by ‘phone.
Thank you for your support and understanding – we’ll see you on the other side!
