Following on from the initial success of the Wildlife Casualty Volunteer project and the recent 1000th wildlife collection, National RSPCA is recruiting more volunteers in the South West. They are specifically looking for people who can make collections in the following areas:

ARE YOU ABLE TO VOLUNTEER IN OUR BUSY ANIMAL CENTRE?

For those animal lovers out there that have that little bit of extra time and are looking for experience in the animal care and welfare industry, then look no further! Perhaps you already have experience to bring. We would love to hear from you! Volunteering is also a great way to meet new people and makes you feel good!

We particularly welcome help from anyone that can commit to a regular slot each week to help us on site in the animal centre. Duties range from assisting staff with the morning cleaning duties in either the re-homing kennels or the cattery, to exercising of our rescue dogs and cat socialisation.

Please note: we currently require dog walkers and cat socialisers on Saturdays and Sundays. We also require people to assist with practical animal care, including kennel cleaning, on all days except Saturday. Volunteer Fosterers

We require special people to take animals into their home on a temporary basis. Perhaps an animal isn’t coping in the Centre environment and needs a bit of TLC, perhaps they are seeking a short period of recovery after a veterinary procedure. Volunteer Maintenance/Gardening

Can you spare a few hours a week to help maintain the Venton Animal Centre at Quoit? The role involves simple DIY maintenance jobs, painting & decorating and grass cutting to keep the Centre in tip-top condition.
